(Sports Network) - Israeli Shahar Peer was among Wednesday's second-round winners at the $145,000 hardcourt Korea Open.
The second-seeded Peer handled Japanese qualifier Ayumi Morita 6-4, 7-5 on Day 3 at the Olympic Tennis Courts.
Peer's quarterfinal opponent on Friday will be veteran American Jill Craybas, who handled Uzbekistan's Akgul Amanmuradova 7-6 (7-1), 6-2.

Aussie Samantha Stosur outlasted German Sabine Lisicki 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, while Russian Ekaterina Makarova mauled Czech Klara Zakopalova 6-3, 6-2. Stosur and Makarova will meet in the round of eight.
On Thursday, top-seeded and 2007 Seoul runner-up Maria Kirilenko will play her second-round match against Czech Lucie Safarova. The Russian Kirilenko lost to American star Venus Williams in last year's finale here.
The 2008 Seoul champion will claim $22,900.
