DeMya Walker added 19 points and Scholanda Robinson scored 11 for the Monarchs, who posted their second straight victory but are still mired in the basement in the Western Conference.
Sandrine Gruda and Tan White each scored 13 for the Sun, who have lost five in a row in their bid to remain in the Eastern Conference playoff chase. Kiesha Brown added 11 points in defeat.
