De Souza Leads Dream Past Monarchs

Angel McCoughtry added 26 points, a career-high 10 assists, and five boards for the Dream (17-14), who are 1 1/2 games ahead of third-place Detroit in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Iziane Castro Marques ended with 16 points and six helpers. Sancho Lyttle finished with 15 points for Atlanta, which set a franchise record with 32 assists.
Nicole Powell scored 23 points for the Monarchs (11-21), who sit in the basement of the Western Conference. DeMya Walker added 19 points, while Rebekkah Brunson finished with 13 points in defeat.
Atlanta shot 64.3 percent from the field, while Sacramento made 48 percent of its shots.
