(Sports Network) - Hoping to factor into San Diego's 2010 rotation plans, Wade LeBlanc aims to turn in a third straight solid outing tonight in the Padres' continuation of a three-game set with the Arizona Diamondbacks at Petco Park.

LeBlanc went 0-1 with a 9.58 earned run average over his first three starts of 2009, but has since posted back-to-back wins over two very good teams. The southpaw first threw six shutout innings in a win over the Dodgers on September 4, then held the Giants to a pair of runs in seven innings on Wednesday.

LeBlanc, who owns just nine big league starts, lowered his season ERA to 5.01 and will face Arizona for the first time tonight.

The Diamondbacks send Dan Haren to the hill. Haren, who turns 29 on Thursday, hasn't factored into the decision of his last two starts, including Wednesday's outing versus the Dodgers. He allowed three runs on seven hits -- including two homers -- over 7 1/3 innings on that day and is 13-8 with a 2.82 ERA on the season.

The right-hander has posted a 2.77 ERA without a decision in two starts against the Padres this year. In his career versus San Diego, Haren is 3-1 with a 2.71 ERA.

The Diamondbacks notched their fourth win in a row over San Diego on Monday, with Brandon Allen's go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 10th inning lifting Arizona to an eventual 4-2 victory.

Pinch-hitter Alex Romero added an insurance RBI in the frame, while starter Billy Buckner gave up two runs (1 earned) over six-plus innings while also driving in two runs.

"Early in the game, I thought he was exceptional. When he got into trouble he limited the damage to single runs," Diamondbacks manager A.J. Hinch said of Buckner.

The victory halted Arizona's three-game slide and was just their second win in its last 11 games. San Diego, meanwhile, had won four of five prior to last night's loss and were suffered just their sixth loss in the last 19 games.

Chase Headley drove in the only two runs for the Padres, while Tony Gwynn Jr. had three hits and scored a run in defeat.

The D-Backs have won eight of the 13 meetings between the teams so far this year.
