(Sports Network) - Houston Texans left guard Chester Pitts will reportedly miss the rest of the season after having knee surgery Wednesday.
The Houston Chronicle reported Pitts had two procedures done on his right knee: a surgery to repair meniscus cartilage and a microfracture surgery to repair articular cartilage. Texans head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed Wednesday that Pitts had surgery, though he did not have other details.
The paper reported he will be placed on injured reserve, though the team has not announced the move.
Pitts, who suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the Titans, has started every game since the Texans' inaugural season in 2002, 114 in all.
