   posted 9:31 am Wed October 03, 2007 -
An Atlantic Coast Conference spokesman says a Rutgers defender's hit that gave Maryland quarterback Jordan Steffy a concussion was illegal helmet-to-helmet contact.

The contact was missed by the game officials. ACC spokesman Mike Finn says it was unintended, but should have been flagged.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Steffy is questionable for Saturday's game against Georgia Tech and didn't practice Monday. He was hit with 41 seconds left in the first half by backup safety Joe Lefeged and was diagnosed with a slight concussion.

Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen says the team sent video to league officials for review.
