Leitersburg Haunted House Closing After 30 Years
posted 11:42 am Thu October 04, 2007 - Leitersburg, Md.
Thirty years of screams will be silenced when the Leitersburg Haunted House closes its creaky doors for the last time this month.
The Leitersburg Youth Organization and the local Ruritan Club say they can't afford to bring the old schoolhouse up to code. And some of the organizers say they're just getting too old to keep mounting the elaborate production, with its lighting, sound, special effects and makeup.
The farewell season begins October 12th, with performances scheduled each Friday and Saturday night before Halloween.
