Puppy Adoption Email Leads to Dead Ends

An email or perhaps a series of emails have been burning up the internet, asking for a home for six abandoned black lab puppies. But people who want to help, are finding dead ends. "Everyone in my office got one from a friend," said Will Harding
Deidre Russo read it too.
"I sent one to everyone I knew, saying I'm going to get the puppies - but then I pursued the email chain and thought maybe it was a joke."
Russo said her emails came back undeliverable. Phone numbers were disconnected or led to people who had merely forwarded the message.
Computer experts say the email doesn't appear to be a scam - it doesn't ask for money. It could, however, be a hoax.
Washington Animal Rescue League received the email, and was flooded with people who wanted to help.
"Every few minutes another one would pop up: 'What are you going to do about these puppies?'," said WARL's Jim Monsma.
Monsma said he has a solution for all those looking to adopt. The Washington Animal Rescue League currently has 28 puppies - including black labs - ready for adoption.
