Fumes Force Reagan Building Food Court Evacuation

At least three people are being taken to a hospital as a precaution after fumes from a problem in a downtown food court forced an evacuation.
Engineers at the Reagan Building and International Trade Center told D.C. rescue workers they had a problem with a refrigeration unit about 11 a.m. But they were able to blow out the fumes before the fire department arrived. D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Alan Etter says a hazardous materials team found no signs of harmful fumes. Medics evaluated six people who felt ill, and three were taken to a hospital.
Things were mostly back to normal in the food court by noon.
