Boy Credited with Saving Family From Fire

A 12-year-old boy's quick action in the middle of the night is being credited with saving his whole family. Tyler Wilkerson was sleeping early Friday morning when a crackling sound like firecrackers woke him up at about 4 a.m.
He jumped out of bed and saw bright flames from downstairs, even feeling the heat from the fire.
The boy ran to his parents room and told them there was a fire, then yelled to his 8 and 3-year-old younger brothers. Everyone ran down the stairs and outside and made it out OK.
Fire officials say the fire was so fast-moving that the family would surely have perished if Tyler hadn't gotten them out of the house.
Investigators say the fire began on the front porch and was aided by strong winds, but haven't pinpointed the exact cause yet.
