Father Still Searches for Answers in Car Seat Death

Ahmad Hamid is searching for answers in the death of his 19-month-old daughter Saraye, after she apparently died in a car seat at a day care center.
Hamid and her father Ahmad had a ritual every morning, they'd watch Sesame Street and practice counting. "As soon as she heard someone say 1, she's say 2, 3 ... 5." Recalled Hamid. "She always skipped four."
Then Hamid would drop his daughter off at here at Bailey's Daycare, until something terrible happened August 1st.
Hamid said Saraye was placed in her car seat by a child care worker and when the employee returned no more than 15 minutes later, his daughter was dead.
Hamid said he still does not know why.
"My daughter died in a state-licensed day-care in P.G. county, and I feel the state isn't trying to investigate thoroughly enough." Hamid said.
On September 12th, Maryland's office of child care revoked the daycare's license. It is not clear, however, that the decision was linked to Saraye's death. The letter of revocation said one of the workers at the day care was not licensed.
Meanwhile, the state medical examiner's office says it cannot determine Saraye's manner of death. The examiner labeled Saraye's cause of death as sudden and unexplained.
With no signs of trauma, Ahmad Hamid feels the report is not enough.
"Why did my daughter die and is anyone responsible?" Hamid asked.
The owner of Bailey's Daycare has told the state of Maryland she plans to appeal her daycare license suspension and a hearing is set for next month.
