D.C. police have arrested a 19-year-old man who they say shot his 15-year-old girlfriend in the face. Investigators say it happened on the 600-block of Atlantic Street, SE when the girl was visiting her boyfriend in the Condon Terrace.

Police say her wounds don't appear to be life-threatening.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Metropolitan Police arrested the man Monday and say they recovered the gun. Police plan to charge the man with assault with intent to kill while armed.

The shooting happened in the same block of Atlantic Street Southeast where 14-year-old DeOnte Rawlings was shot and killed last month during a confrontation with two off-duty D.C. Police officers.

That case remains under investigation, and the officers are on administrative leave.

Not only a 19 yr old with a 15 yr old girlfriend..but this 19 yr old was "hanging out" with 14 yr old DeOnte Rawlings....sounds like this 19 yr old has a thing for young kids.

These parents will never learn because: 1. either they simply don't care 2. that girl is a fast tail and/or 3. thugs of a feather flock together.

At 15yr old after a bullet to the face..the last thing this girl needs is another boyfriend!! She needs to focus on staying alive, her education, getting out of Southeast and making something of her life...sadly none of which is likely to happen.
