Arrest Made in Infant Death

D.C. police arrested a man for the death of a baby in Southeast.
Saturday police arrested 19-year-old William Hayes from D.C. and charged him with Felony Murder in connection with the death of 17-month-old Darnell Wilson.
Investigators say at approximately 4:00 am on September 28, police responded to the 3100 block of G Street, SE for the report of an unconscious infant. Upon arrival officers located the infant, in an apparent unconscious condition.
Wilson was taken to the Children's National Medical Center and pronounced dead.
An autopsy determined Wilson died from blunt force trauma and officers ruled his dead a homicide.
