posted 11:00 am Tue October 16, 2007 - HAGERSTOWN, Md.
Washington County prosecutors have formally announced that they intend to combine the separate rape cases against a Hagerstown man into a single case and seek a sentence of life without parole.
Thirty-nine-year-old James Hackey was arrested in June in connection with the alleged abduction and rape of an 11-year-old girl in May and was charged this month in the alleged rape of an 18-year-old woman a few days before his arrest.
The girl was kidnapped from her bedroom at the Oak Ridge Apartments early in the morning of May 10th. Authorities say the woman was raped June 5th in the Robinwood neighborhood.
