The University of Maryland and the U.S. Naval Academy have agreed to face off in a football game in Baltimore in 2010, according to a statement released by the athletics department.
The teams will play September 4, 2010 at M&T Bank Stadium. The Midshipmen and Terrapins last met in Baltimore on Sept. 3, 2005. Maryland won the encounter, 23-20. Navy, however, remains the overall leader of matchups between the two teams, leading 14-6.
"This game is special to many Marylanders and we are pleased it will be played in the 2010 season," said Maryland director of athletics Deborah A. Yow in the statement. "Our fans enjoy the game atmosphere in M&T Bank Stadium."

"I'm glad that we were able to work out another game with Navy," Maryland head coach Ralph Friedgen said in the statement. "I have a lot of respect for Paul Johnson and the job he has done at Navy. The last time we played there was a lot of excitement surrounding the game. I think this is a game our fans and the Maryland community are looking forward to playing."
