Police say the man accused of hijacking a diesel fuel tanker in Baltimore and dumping its contents at a D.C. gas station bragged to a witness about what he was planning. A police affidavit says a witness told investigators that 43-year-old Willie Mckinnon of Landover Hills had bragged on the phone to someone that he was planning to rob a tanker, and discussing a $10,000 payment he expected to receive.
Mckinnon is being held without bail on 13 charges including armed robbery and armed carjacking. The affidavit says he was arrested Wednesday after authorities a woman told police she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a man who had bragged planning the robbery of a gas tanker.
The tanker truck carrying 7,100 gallons of diesel fuel was taken at gunpoint from a Baltimore fuel depot early October 19 and found later in Washington.
