Popular Neighbor Found Dead

Roosevelt Burke found his 62-year-old father's house ransacked and his father, also named Roosevelt, dead.
Burke went to his dad's Laurel townhouse to check on him since he hadn't been to work or to the church where he served as music director. "I go to his bedroom, I see the drawers on the floor."
Burke and residents can't believe anyone would harm him. They said he was the first person to help shovel your driveway, plant your flowers, or just say hi to you."I just can't believe it's happening... Just so loved by everybody."
Roosevelt Burke said the hardest part is admitting to himself that a mentor so generous in heart could be taken from him so suddenly. "I love my mother, but she remarried and had someone. My father only had me."
Police suspect foul play in Burke's death. The victim's car was missing from the home. Family members said it is an off-white 1999 Acura RL with Maryland tags.
