(Sports Network) - Hall-of-Fame running back and social pariah O.J. Simpson was found guilty on all 12 counts of his armed robbery and kidnapping trial late Friday night. Simpson was acquitted of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman in a trial that ended October 3, 1995. Thirteen years to the day later, the former Heisman Trophy winner Simpson could face life in prison following the verdict handed down in Las Vegas.

Sentencing is scheduled for December 5.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? Simpson, 61, was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan police and charged with armed robbery, which took place inside the Palace Station hotel on September 13, 2007. The robbery was designed to retrieve personal items and memorabilia of Simpson's that the prosecution charged he had given away to two sports- memorabilia dealers to avoid handing them over to Goldman's family -- which would have satisfied part of a multi-million dollar civil wrongful death verdict levied in 1997.

More than a year after the arrest, and after 12 days of testimony, the jury deliberated on Friday and came back with a verdict at 10:50 p.m. (PT) on charges that include conspiracy, coercion and assault with a deadly weapon. Simpson was immediately taken into custody despite his attorneys' motioning for his release on bail.

Simpson's co-defendant, Clarence "C.J." Stewart, was also found guilty on all 12 counts. Four others charged in the case were given plea bargains and testified against Simpson and Stewart.
