DANVILLE, Va. - Republican presidential candidate John McCain (web|news|bio) 's campaign has ousted a prominent Virginia GOP figure after he wrote a racially offensive newspaper column mocking a potential Obama administration. A McCain spokeswoman said Bobby May was dropped this week from his job as McCain's Buchanan County campaign chairman.
May wrote in his column, "The (clarified) platform of Barack Hussein Obama," that if the Democratic senator was elected he
would hire rapper Ludacris to paint the White House black and change the national anthem to the "Black National Anthem."

The column originally appeared in The Voice, a local newspaper. May has worked on dozens of state Republican campaigns, including those of former gubernatorial candidate and Attorney General Jerry Kilgore, Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling and U.S. Rep. Virgil
Goode.

ABC 7 Talkback: McCain Campaign Fires Virginia GOP Figure Over Racially Offensive Column
Dian Larkin
While those comments are atrocious and appalling -- I'd believed and hoped, until the McCain Hate & Chaos Express came along - that Americans were better than that.

Certainaly McCain should have fired this gentleman.

However, why should McCain stop there. I want Sarah Palin removed from the campaign, if not charged, for inciting rally crowds to hatred and violence against Barack Obama, a US Senator and Presidential candidate.

The woman is unqualified, to say the least; the legislative investigation concluded power abuse but she denied it even after the findings were released and alleges that she exonerated herself; her husband who should not be involved in her administration was getting paid as a staff member for providing child care to his own children and, in his off duty hours apparently, acting as her thug; we also have his prior (& allegedly her prior) membership in the radical anti-American AIP group; and with all these dubious recommendations for her, the best she can do as a candidate is inappropriately sexualize her candidacy, thereby cheapening the very office she runs for, and rabble-rouse her rally attendees against Obama.

Palin is exploiting and elevating an undercurrent -- underbelly -- of hate and violence in this country. Her tactics are worse than negative, they are dangerous. It cannot be within the bounds of the law to endanger a US Senator and his family . She should be removed from this campaigh.
