- (Sports Network) - Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, Cleveland Browns cornerback Eric Wright and Houston Texans returner Jacoby Jones have been selected as the AFC's top players for Week 6 of the NFL season.
Manning was the top offensive player for the 17th time in his career as he went 19-for-28 with 271 yards and three touchdowns in the Colts' 31-3 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Manning, who recorded the 49th three-touchdown game of his career, threw all three touchdown passes in the first half. His 108th win under center surpassed Terry Bradshaw for the seventh-most wins by a quarterback in NFL history.
Wright garnered the defensive award as he sealed the Browns' 35-14 win over the New York Giants with a 94-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The second-year cornerback had three tackles in the game and leads Cleveland with three interceptions, which is tied for third in the AFC. This is Wright's first weekly award in his career and he is the first Browns cornerback to win the honor since Anthony Henry in 2001.

Jones won the special teams award as his 70-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter helped the Texans to a 29-28 victory over the Miami Dolphins. With the Dolphins leading 14-6 in the second quarter, Jones' touchdown made it a one-point game. The New Orleans native finished the day with four punt returns for 87 yards (21.8 average) and notched his first weekly award.
