- (Sports Network) - The Dallas Mavericks announced Tuesday that they have exercised the option for the 2009-10 season on forward Shawne Williams' contract.
The Indiana Pacers traded Williams to the Mavs on October 10, in exchange for swingman Eddie Jones, two future second-round draft picks and cash.
Williams was selected 17th overall by the Pacers in the 2006 draft out of Memphis, but has largely struggled. In 111 games over two seasons, Williams has averaged 5.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in a little less than 14 minutes per contest.
