- (Sports Network) - The postponement of Game 5 of the World Series has caused the Philadelphia 76ers' season opener with the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday to be moved from 7 p.m. (et) to 6 p.m. (et).
A mixture of rain and snow in the Philadelphia area on Tuesday has caused Major League Baseball to postpone the continuation of Monday's Game 5 of the Fall Classic between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays to a tentatively scheduled time of 8:37 p.m. (et) on Wednesday.
"We moved the start time of our home opener to 6:00 p.m. (et) to allow our fans an opportunity to attend our game and to be able to see the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series," said Lara Price, the Sixers' senior vice president of business operations.
