The Clippers were routed by their co-tenants, the Los Angeles Lakers, on Wednesday.
Kobe Bryant had 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds, as the Lakers rolled over the Clips, 117-79, in their home opener.

Second-year man Al Thornton ended with 16 points to pace the Clippers, who posted a dismal 23-59 mark last season. Newcomer Baron Davis netted just 11 points and dished out seven assists.
"They crushed us on the boards and drained threes," Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said after the loss. "I don't think anybody for us played very well."
The Nuggets fared no better, although the team played well in a 98-94 loss to Utah in Salt Lake City. Carlos Boozer scored 25 points and hauled in 14 rebounds to pace the Jazz.
Kenyon Martin and Allen Iverson each scored 18 points for Denver, which was swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Lakers last season. J.R. Smith added 17 points, and Anthony Carter had 13 points.
The Nuggets were without star forward Carmelo Anthony in the loss and will be again tonight as the former Syracuse star sits out the second game of a two- game suspension for an offseason DUI arrest.
Denver may also be toiling without a pair of role players as center Steven Hunter (right knee inflammation) and guard Sonny Weems (sports hernia) are both listed as questionable.
Meanwhile the Clippers will likely be without new center Marcus Camby for the second straight game. The defensive-minded Camby was traded to the Clips by Denver in a salary dump during the offseason after spending six years in the Rocky Mountains, leading the NBA in blocked shots for three of them.
The Nuggets won three of the four meeting between the two clubs last season and split the two games at the Staples Center. Overall, the series has been nip-and-tuck recently with the teams splitting the last 10 encounters.
