(Sports Network) - Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Broyles will start
Saturday's key Big 12 matchup against No. 2 Texas on Saturday, Sooners head
coach Bob Stoops announced.
Broyles suffered a shoulder injury during a 21-20 loss to the Miami Hurricanes
on October 3. The sophomore, who leads the team with 23 catches for 346 yards
and seven touchdowns, was expected to miss two-to-four weeks but has been
cleared to play in the annual showdown.
Quinton Carter will also start at safety despite leaving last week's game
against Baylor with a knee injury. Carter ranks third on the team with 32
tackles.
Offensive guard Brian Simmons (knee) will not dress Saturday for the 20th-
ranked Sooners.
