(Sports Network) - The Miami Heat picked up the third-year option on forward Michael Beasley and fourth-year option on guard Daequan Cook on Tuesday.
The second overall pick of the 2008 draft, Beasley appeared in 81 games last year with 19 starts. He averaged 13.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in those games, and named to the NBA All-Rookie Team.
Cook, who was the 21st pick of the 2007 draft, has played in 134 games over his two seasons in the NBA and has started 23 of them. He has averaged 9.0 points and 2.7 rebounds.
