(Sports Network) - The Houston Rockets on Friday waived veteran guard Brent Barry.
Barry averaged 3.7 points, 1.4 assists and shot 37.4 percent (49-of-131) from three-point range in 56 games last season, his lone campaign with the Rockets.
A two-time champion with the San Antonio Spurs in 2004-05 and 2006-07, Barry has also logged stints with the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and Seattle SuperSonics.
Originally taken 15th overall by Denver in the 1995 draft, Barry has career averages of 9.3 points, 3.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 912 games. He is a career 40.5 percent shooter from three-point range.
