Many people in the Fairfax Station section of Fairfax County are shocked after a long-time county schools employee was arrested this week on charges he grew marijuana with the intent to sell it. Narcotics detectives executed a search warrant Monday at the home of 50-year-old Leonard E. Marsh and 56-year-old Jinny S. Marsh in the 9,800 block of South Park Circle shortly after 9 p.m.

Detectives say they found a closet used to grow marijuana and some packaged marijuana in the home.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Police arrested Leonard Marsh. He has worked for Fairfax County Public Schools in some capacity for 14 years. He's currently an assistant principal at Cub Run Elementary in Centreville.

The school sent a letter home to parents, saying there is no reason to believe anyone else in the school was involved with Marsh.

Leonard Marsh faces charges of manufacturing marijuana with the intent to sell. He has been scheduled for arraignment Friday morning. Jinny Marsh was cited for possession of marijuana and released.

I have known the Marsh's for years... They are good people... They have obviously been caught doing something illegal, and it will be haunting them for the rest of their lives... From what I understand, there was never an intent to sell, and from personal experiene, I know Lenny had never tried to sell anything to me...And...Lenny knows I am a big fan of the Grateful Dead... DeadHeads being notorious drug users, I would suspect, had he been looking to sell, I would have been a logical person to approach...

From what I have read and heard, it appears that the police received a tip on what was ahppening at the MArsh residence. That is what I am interested in... What did the MArsh's do to have someone hate them enough to call the police and tell them about what was happening in their home...

I wish both Ginny and Lenny the best... I am really saddened that one of the best educators and men I have ever known has been ruined... The MArsh's will lose because of this happening, but the real losers, are the kids who would have benefited from knowing him!
