GWU Police Arrest Student in Swastikas Case
posted 10:02 am Mon November 05, 2007 - Washington
Campus police at George Washington University have charged a student with drawing swastikas and racial slurs on the doors of dorm rooms.
University spokeswoman Tracy Schario says the suspect has been barred from campus and will go through GW's judicial system. The university is not releasing the student's name, citing privacy laws.
Schario says GW officials also are looking at whether the suspect may have violated D.C. or federal laws. The drawings were reported Friday night and earlier in the week.
An investigation continues to determine who drew swastikas on other residence hall doors earlier in the semester. It's not clear whether the events are related.
