Neighbors in Adams Morgan are outraged over reports of how D.C. police officers treated a woman who claimed she was raped.
Eddie Becker has lived in Adams Morgan for 33 years but Sunday he learned that trying to be a concerned citizen has it's costs. Becker was on the scene when he saw five male police officers allegedly ignore an inebriated woman's rape claims Sunday.

Becker said he drew the officers ire after he complained that they needed a female officer to help the woman.
After Becker went and found a female officer, he claims the officers dragged him away from the scene and pushed his face up to a window.
Becker's story was then sent out through the community's listserv, raising concern and complaints about insensitive cops from neighbors.
"T
his come out of officers not knowing a community," said Pat Patrick with the Adams Morgan Business Association.
Third District police officers say the woman had medical issues and was not taking her medication. Her condition was worsened by her drinking.
The alleged victim was treated and released.
