D.C. Woman Injured in Car Accident

D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Alan Etter said the woman was apparently trying to back her car into a car port but went too far. The car crashed through a wall of the brick structure, collapsing part of it onto the car.
The 43-year-old woman has serious injuries but is expected to survive. Rescuers were called to the home on Ordway Street in Northwest D.C. about 9:15 a.m. They're trying to determine whether the woman may have had some sort of medical emergency at the time of the crash.
