Sheriff's Deputy Arrested on Child Porn Charges

Forty-four-year-old Master Deputy Sheriff Robert A. Romero Jr. was arrested and charged with possession and receipt of child pornography. The FBI says an undercover agent caught Romero in an online sting and investigators discovered more than 1000 images of child pornography and 100 videos on his computer.
Neighbors were understandably shocked by the allegations. "He would always wave and say 'Hi.' He coached, I guess the football team, for the youth league and would talk to me about recruiting my (six-year-old) son to join it."Romero, a 19-year veteran of the Sheriff's Department, abruptly resigned Thursday. He appeared in U.S. District Court in Alexandria Thursday afternoon.

Hanging's too good for him. Put him in general population, with a big sign on his back that says "Pedophile Sheriff." Close the door, throw away the key, and look the other way.
