The 14-year-old brother of  the 17-year-old girl who died in a two-vehicle accident in Calvert County Monday morning has now died also, according to the Washington Post.

Ryan Purvis died at Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore as a result of injuries from the crash. Of the two other passengers, 17-year-old Kathryn Singleton was reportedly in stable condition and 16-year-old Marina M. Ybarra has been released from the hospital. Maryland State Police said Ryan's older sister, Alyson, failed to yield to a box truck as she attempted to travel across the southbound lanes of MD Route-4 near the intersection of Skinners Road when the truck struck the side of her Dodge Caravan. Both vehicles came to a final rest within the grass median approximately 120 feet south of the intersection. The Isuzu truck overturned as it came to a rest.  Alyson Purvis died at the scene.

The driver of the box truck, 31-year-old Jose Hernandez-Perlera and his two passengers, 39-year-old Victor Acosta and 22-year-old Robert Morales were all taken to Calvert Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
