Jurors Return to Deliberation in Hornsby Case
posted 7:19 pm Mon November 26, 2007 - Greenbelt, Md.
Jurors in the trial of former Prince George's County Schools Chief Andre Hornsby are again deliberating.

Last Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Peter Messitte sent the jury home for a long Thanksgiving weekend on Tuesday, hours after he received a note in which jurors said they were "firm" in their positions. They also asked for a definition of reasonable doubt. The Judge urged the jury to try again Monday to reach a verdict.

Hornsby is charged with steering a schools contract worth about $1 million to an educational technology firm where his then-girlfriend worked. Federal prosecutors allege that Hornsby and the girlfriend then split the $20,000 commission she received.

Hope these morons get it right. I'd sure like to know what they think about him stuffing the money in his shirt pocket. What do they think the money is for?
