A man was shot on Columbia Road in Washington Monday around 6 p.m.

Police said officers in the area of 14th Street heard gunshots go off in the 1300 block of Columbia Road. Officers arrived and found an adult male shot twice, behind 1300 Columbia Road. As police investigated, one of their cruisers was rammed by a silver truck in a near-by ally.

Officers were able to stop the truck and chased down two men who fled on foot. Police said a gun was found in the truck.

This is at least the third shooting in the alley between 13& 14th; and Columbia Rd. & Harvard Street. Seems like some guys are "doing business" out of a third floor unit of 1312 Columbia Rd.

Since Jim G. likes shutting down resturants where people get shot, how about shutting down the 3rd floor of 1312 Columbia Heights Village? At least they can tow the drug van opposite the dumpster btw 1312 & 1302...
