- (Sports Network) - St. Louis Rams head coach Jim Haslett announced on Monday that wide receivers Drew Bennett and Dante Hall will both be placed on injured reserve soon, ending their seasons.
Bennett has yet to recover from breaking a bone in his right foot in the season-opener, and Hall suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's 34-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
"Hall has probably a six-week injury," said Haslett. "It is a pretty bad injury and we just thought that was the best thing right now."

Hall, the ninth-year receiver and kick returner, has 12 catches for 105 yards this season on offense, and has 37 kick returns for 763 yards, a 20.6 yards- per-return clip.
Bennett had just one catch for four yards in the season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and the eighth-year receiver has not returned to action since.
"Drew is just not healing. Last week he worked and he had pain. This week we thought the best thing was just to shut him down and get him healthy," said Haslett.
"I don't know how long it is going to take. We have waited two months now and I really just don't know. It could take another four weeks, it could take another eight weeks. We really can't wait because we need to have some healthy bodies playing."
Bennett has struggled since a breakout 2004 campaign with the Tennessee Titans. After gaining 1,247 yards on 80 catches with 11 touchdowns that season, Bennett has had three forgettable seasons.
In 2007, his first season with the Rams, Bennett struggled with injuries and finished with only 33 catches for 375 yards and three scores.
