HILLCREST HEIGHTS, Md. - An undercover police operation ended in gunfire in Prince George's County after police said the suspects tried to carjack the undercover officers.

The shots were fired by police at the "51 Club" in Hillcrest Heights in the 3200 block of Naylor Road around 9 p.m. One man was killed.

Police said the undercover officer was looking into drug activity at the lounge and liquor store. The undercover cop was leaving the club when three men followed him, police say. When the suspects tried to carjack the undercover officer, he fired his gun, killing one of the suspects.

The other two suspects took off from Prince George's County and fled into the District. Police said D.C. officers quickly caught up with the duo and arrested them.

Prince George's County Police said they recovered a "large amount" of drugs after the shooting.

Tadams
I would also like to thank the Police Officer for doing a job well done. It just goes to show you never know who your " Victim " might be. Now there is one less drug dealing carjacker on the streets. I'm sure the papers will read what a great person he was, and how he was only trying to feed his family.
