- (Sports Network) - The Utah Jazz try to stay perfect on the young season when they welcome Portland to EnergySolutions Arena on Wednesday. Paul Millsap scored 15 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter as the Jazz cruised to an 89-73 victory over the Clippers Monday to complete a home-and- home sweep of the Clips at the Staples Center.

Millsap was 8-of-12 from the field with nine rebounds while Andrei Kirilenko notched a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards for the Jazz, who have claimed victory in each of their first three games this season despite being without star guard Deron Williams, who has been out with an ankle injury.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? Williams is listed as doubtful for tonight's game.

The win over Los Angeles also gave Utah coach Jerry Sloan his 998th win with the franchise, just two shy from becoming the first coach in NBA history to win 1,000 games with one team.

Portland fell to 1-2 on Saturday when Phoenix's Amare Stoudemire and Shaquille O'Neal had their way on the blocks, finishing with a combined 39 points and 21 rebounds in the Suns' 107-96 victory over the Blazers.

Brandon Roy and Rudy Fernandez led Portland with 20 points apiece, while LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in 16 points and six rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who fell to Phoenix for the 10th straight time.

The Blazers continue to toil without center Greg Oden, who is sidelined for two to four weeks with a sprained right foot, and forward Martell Webster, who is out after undergoing left foot surgery.

Portland took three of the four matchups in the season series last season and has won five of the last seven games between the two teams.
