- (Sports Network) - Detroit has dropped two straight games since making a blockbuster trade to acquire nine-time All-Star Allen Iverson last week. The Pistons will try and stem that tide Tuesday when they arrive in California's capital to take on the Sacramento Kings. Boston's Tony Allen had 23 points off the bench, and Ray Allen added 17 points and eight rebounds, as the Celtics defeated the Pistons, 88-76, in the teams' first meeting since last season's Eastern Conference finals.

Tayshaun Prince had 23 points and eight rebounds, while Will Bynum had 11 points for Detroit.

Iverson, playing in his first home game since being acquired from Denver for Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess and Cheikh Samb, had 10 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Rasheed Wallace had 10 points and 11 boards for Detroit, which was beaten in six games by the Celtics in the East finals.

It was a particularly tough night for Richard Hamilton, who finished 0-for-8 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line.

"Us not making shots didn't help," said Iverson. "We got a lot of good looks at the basket, we just didn't knock the shots down. I don't think offense is going to be a problem too much, that's a positive we take out of this game. We just could never get it going offensively. As we get our chemistry together and some time to play together we'll start hitting shots."

Sacramento is a perfect 3-0 on a four-game homestand after starting the season with four consecutive losses on the road.

Kevin Martin scored 27 points, and the Kings rolled to a 115-98 win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.

Spencer Hawes added 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Brad Miller had 14 points and 10 boards for the Kings. John Salmons added 16 points for Sacramento, but the team was concerned about Martin, who left late in the third quarter with a left ankle injury.

Martin and fellow guard Quincy Douby (sore right ankle) are questionable for tonight's game.

Meanwhile, Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey did not travel with the team to Sacramento. He remained in the Motor City for precautionary, follow-up testing after experiencing symptoms of light-headed and dizziness against Boston.

Stuckey is listed as day-to-day.
