According to an affidavit, defendant Amjad Hamed said:
"When I say missile, it is with everything… with the controls if you want you can reach the Pentagon."
Hamed also allegedly asked the FBI informant to obtain visas for six of his associates who wanted to come here to the United States from Jordan and the West Bank.
The investigation began in 2006 when the informant met with Hamed at his Annandale home.
A year later, Hamed and the Informant met in a parking lot, where Hamed sold the informant an AR-15 assault rifle and a handgun with the serial number scratched off, according to the indictment.
Hamed also allegedly offered to sell the informant an M-16 military assault rifle.
The informant also met with Hamed's cousin, Ibrahim Hamed, who pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to transport a weapon with an obliterated serial number across state lines.
