NBA Pacific: Bynum hopes to help Lakers take the next step

- (Sports Network) - The San Antonio Spurs shoot for their second win in as many nights as they travel to Milwaukee to face the Bucks at the Bradley Center.
Playing without superstars Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, the Spurs won in San Antonio for the first time in the 2008-09 season Tuesday when Tim Duncan scored 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds and doled out seven assists to lead the team past the resurgent New York Knicks, 92-80, at the AT&T Center.
Veteran Michael Finley added 14 points for the Spurs, who have won two of three but still find themselves sporting a 2-4 record on the year. Bruce Bowen and rookie George Hill scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, in the win.
Ginobili is out until at least December, while Parker sprained his left ankle against Miami last week and could miss up to four weeks.
The Bucks lost their third straight game Tuesday when Cleveland superstar LeBron James scored 41 points for the third time in four games as the Cavs dispatched Milwaukee, 99-93, in Cleveland.
Richard Jefferson led the way with 19 points for the Bucks, while Luke Ridnour scored 14 of his 17 points in the third quarter for Milwaukee.
Bucks sharp-shooter Michael Redd, who leads the team with 21.3 points per game, missed his fourth straight contest against Cleveland with a sprained right ankle and is questionable for tonight's game.
San Antonio swept the home-and-home season series between the two teams last season and Milwaukee did the same in the 2006-07 campaign. Overall, the home team has won five of seven and eight of the last 11 meetings between the two clubs.
