Tysons Corner, Va. - Police have identified a bicyclist who was fatally struck in a hit-and-run in Tysons Corner early Wednesday morning.

At 12:21 Wednesday morning, Fairfax County (web|news) police responded to a report of a person lying in the roadway at the intersection of Leesburg Pike (route 7) and the beltway. Officers found the body of Jesus Villanueva, age 31, of Hillside Drive in Falls Churchin the road; he appeared to have been struck by a vehicle, but no description of the vehicle is available.

Leesburg Pike was closed for accident reconstruction with traffic re-routed to the outer loop of the beltway, but it had reopened by 5:00 a.m.

Villaneuva appears to have been traveling eastbound in the right lane and was struck from behind by a vehicle.
They still know nothing specific about the striking vehicle, but say it may have minor damage to the right front portion.

That's right, blame the victim.
So the piece-o-crap driver that killed this guy then drove off is to be commended?
