(Sports Network) - Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Max Jean-Gilles had to carted off the field with an apparent right leg injury in the second quarter of Thursday night's game with the Arizona Cardinals.
Jean-Gilles was blocking on a run by Donovan McNabb with 12 seconds remaining in the half when Arizona defensive lineman Chike Okeafor rolled the back of the lineman's right leg while diving for a stop of McNabb.
A third-year pro out of Georgia, Jean-Gilles has filled in admirably for Philadelphia starter Shawn Andrews this season, starting nine games while appearing in the Eagles' other two contests. Andrews has missed Philadelphia's last nine games nursing a back injury.
