(Sports Network) - New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress will miss Sunday's game against Washington because of a hamstring injury.
The former first round pick attempted to play through the injury in last week's 37-29 victory over the Cardinals, but wound up leaving after one series.
After a 10-catch, 133-yard performance in the season-opener against Washington, Burress has faced double teams and his statistics have dropped considerably. For the season, he has just 35 receptions for a team-high 454 yards and four touchdowns.

In other injury news, Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, who sat out last week's contest because of a knee injury, fully participated in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable. Defensive end Justin Tuck (lower leg) also practiced Friday and has been upgraded to probable.
For the Redskins (
