(Sports Network) - Trevon Hughes scored 16 points and Joe Krabbenhoft added 12 with 10 rebounds, leading 25th-ranked Wisconsin to a 67-46 victory over Milwaukee at the Kohl Center.

Marcus Landry chipped in 12 points for the Badgers (5-1), who were coming off a loss to second-ranked Connecticut in the title game of the Paradise Jam on Monday.

Tony Meier and Deonte Roberts each scored 11 points to lead Milwaukee (3-4), which has lost three in a row. Leading scorer Avery Smith finished with just two points after entering the game averaging 16.0 per game.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? The Panthers led 19-17 in the first half after a jumper by Anthony Hill, but Hughes followed with a three-pointer for the Badgers and they never trailed again.

Milwaukee managed to keep it close for the next few minutes and trailed just 24-23 after a free throw by Tone Boyle, but Jon Leuer scored the next six points to give the Badgers a seven-point advantage and Wisconsin went on to grab a 37-27 lead at the break.

The Badgers opened the second half with a 13-2 run, capped by a pair of three- pointers from Hughes for a 50-29 cushion, and cruised from there. Wisconsin led by as many as 26 late in the contest.

Hughes connected on each of his four three-point attempts. The remaining Badgers finished 1-for-11 from beyond the arc.

Game Notes

Krabbenhoft notched his sixth career double-double...Leuer finished with nine points...The Badgers committed just six turnovers after Connecticut forced them into 22 on Monday...Wisconsin next visits Virginia Tech on Monday as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, then heads to Milwaukee next Saturday for a matchup with 15th-ranked Marquette.
