COLUMBIA, Md. - Howard County Police said two people were shot at a late-night Halloween Party in Columbia that turned deadly.

Police say 19-year-old Aaron Thomas Brice of Silver Spring, was found dead at the scene early Sunday. Twenty-two-year-old Nathaniel Quick of Columbia was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

Neighbors told officials that around 1:15 a.m. Sunday a large noise was heard inside the home. Police said an ongoing dispute inside the home led to gunfire.

Quick is expected to survive, but may be paralyzed. Two other Columbia men, ages 20 and 21, were taken to Howard County General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said investigators do not believe their injuries were related to the shooting.

Authorities believe the homeowners rented out the house for the party.

Police said it's not the first time an altercation has occurred at this address.

“We were called to the same location in June for a similar type incident where an altercation broke out,” said Sherry Llewellyn with the Howard County Police.

Police said more than 100 people were at the home and they are still trying to determine what led to the shooting.

"and they are still trying to determine what led to the shooting."

Let me take a guess or two in no particular order.
1. Drugs
2. Alcohol
3. Jealousy
4. Someone disrespected someone.
5. Someone brought a knife to a gun fight.
6. Sex
7. All of the above.
