SILVER SPRING, Md. - Montgomery County
(web | news) Police now say the man shot outside a Gold's Gym in Silver Spring was involved in a drug deal. It happened around 6 p.m. Monday outside the Gold's Gym at 8661 Colesville Rd.
Through the course of the investigation, police learned that the 25-year-old male victim was shot in the leg as a result of being involved in a drug deal. He was walking outside the gym when he was approached by the suspects.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are investigating the possibility that the victim and suspects know each other.
The first suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall and 130 pounds. He's believed to be bald with a beard and sideburns.
The second suspect is described as a black male, clean-shaven, with a tear-drop tattoo on his face.
