(Sports Network) - The Tennessee Titans will be without wide receiver Justin Gage for at least Sunday's game versus Buffalo after suffering broken bones in his back during last week's win over San Francisco.
Gage was injured on a spectacular leaping grab in the fourth quarter during a crucial scoring drive for the Titans. His legs were clipped out from under him while in mid-air and he landed hard on his lower back, which according to the Tennessean has multiple fractures to the transverse process bones. An official timetable for his return has not been set.
The seventh-year pro caught four passes for 97 yards in the 34-27 triumph against the 49ers and has 302 yards and a touchdown on 22 grabs in eight games this season.
Cornerback Cortland Finnegan, whose late 39-yard interception return for a touchdown ultimately served as the game-winning score last Sunday, sat out practice Wednesday with a hamstring issue and was limited Thursday.
Also nursing a hamstring injury is starting tackle David Stewart, who has yet to see the practice field this week. Running back LenDale White has also sat out both practice sessions this week due to illness.
Linebacker David Thornton (hip), defensive end Jevon Kearse (knee) and tackle Mike Otto (knee) each were limited in practice Thursday.
