(Sports Network) - Boston College has suspended three players, including starters Corey Raji and Rakim Sanders, for the first two games of the season for violating team rules.

The university issued a release prior to the Eagles' season-opener Friday against Dartmouth, listing Raji, Sanders and reserve Cortney Dunn as the players suspended.

The trio of juniors will also miss next Tuesday's game against St. Francis-NY before returning in time to take part in the Paradise Jam on November 20.

Raji and Sanders are both returning starters from last year's squad, which won 22 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament before falling in the opening round to USC.

The 6-foot-6 Raji started all 34 games at forward for the Eagles in 2008-09, averaging 9.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Sanders, a 6- foot-5 swingman, also made 34 starts last season and posted averages of 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Dunn saw time in 29 games last year and averaged 0.9 points and 1.9 rebounds.
