(Sports Network) - Seattle Seahawks running back Julius Jones will likely miss Sunday's game at Minnesota due to a bruised lung.
The team first diagnosed Jones with a fractured rib after he was injured during the first quarter of a 31-20 loss to the Arizona Cardinals Sunday. Head coach Jim Mora clarified the injury during Monday's press conference.
"Yesterday after the game I said it was a cracked rib that was the problem. In fact, it is a bruised lung, and potentially, possibly, a cracked rib," stated Mora. "They just took the proper precautions in not having him travel yesterday with that injury. He'll be back. At this point, I'd say that its unlikely that he'd be cleared to play on Sunday."
Jones remained in an Arizona hospital Sunday night and flew back to Seattle Monday. He has 392 yards on 107 carries this season with a pair of touchdowns.
