I don't think the police just pick up innocent people off the street. Sometimes people with large networks of friends and community support think they are invinceable. What does it matter if he has been a synogogue-going  member of his community if he hurts people and destroy lives. Responsible and moral people must let truth expose lies. Otherwise, the community is as guilty as the pedophile it protects and defends.
